JAN KOŘÍNEK » is regarded as an accomplished Hammond organ and piano player whose
skills are also often called upon by many renowned musicians of Czech
and Slovak pop scene. It is, however, in the area of blues and it's
related genres where Jan Korinek is the most comfortable. Among his
favourites are jazz Hammond organ players such as Jimmy Smith, Jack
McDuff, Jimmy McGriff, Shirley Scott, Art Hillery and other musicians
who "groove". Second stream of inspiration comes from the blues (e.g.
T-Bone Walker, Ray Charles, Eddie Cleanhead Vinson, Big Moose Walker,

JIRÍ HOKEŠ »guitarist for Jan Korinek and Groove for the last 7 years. He leads his
own band EZ Blooz and he is part of Marcel Flemr Band, often called by
Rene Trossman for a substitute. He spent some time on the New England
blues scene, where he played with several renowned musicians (such as
Charlie Sawyer, David Maxwell and Sweet Willie D.) Several times he
toured the USA with Charlie Sawyer's band. Inspired by BB King, Albert King, George Freeman, Grant Green etc
MARTIN NOVÁK »is a Prague-based drummer who is sought after by many
bands and musicians.. His first love is jazz but he feels comfortable
on the edges of jazz and blues, which is essential for Groove. He has
played with many outstanding musicians and bands, including Najponk, Roman Pokorný,
Yvonne Sanchez, Ondřej Pivec. Now he's member of groups Groove, Infinite quintet, Libor Šmoldas Trio and Petr Kalfus Trio. He is being inspired by e.g. Jimmy Cobb, Philly Joe Jones, Jeff 'Tain' Watts, Eric Harland, Brian Blade or Idris Muhammad.
